POEMS

The Day -o- by Ken Tait

The eastern sky is filled with light
A never ending wondrous sight
Clouds that catch the first suns ray
Speak of yet another day

Song birds sing the morning praise
Sun comes up with red sky blaze
Breeze and leaves that whisper my name
“Kenneth you’ve been born again”

Sunlight filters through the trees
Lights the flowers and busy bees
Insects dance across the lake
Living just for their own sake

Shadows running across the land
From the hills to the golden sand
Earth revolving in empty spaces
Giving night and day to all the places

Twilight comes as the day expires
Lights the sky with western fires
Gentle moonlight fills the land
Lovers take each others hand

Give me night and give me day
Give me love and life I pray
Place me where my heart belongs
In natures morning songbird songs
