Ripples of Love -o- by Ambrosia Wyldwood

One small drop of rain which falls from the sky
Tears of the gods ‘mothers’ they cry
Drifting through clouds refracting the light
A myriad of emotions, sent forth to delight

Encased in beauty, an answered prayer
The jewel of a mother is precious and rare
Sealed by a pledge of love and affection
Carried on the winds of a life times protection

Touching the pond they kiss life into stillness
Ripples of love undulating outwards
Ever increasing circles of sapience and repose
Small pools of promises, soft sighs the ‘moon rose’.

For one small drop of rain was all that was needed
To rear and shape those which it seeded
To nurture and feed individual existence
With resolved acknowledgement and caring persistence.

Forest’s have now grown, the trees tall and proud
Branches whose finger tips reach up to a cloud
Hoping to be lucky to catch sight of a dove
Whose presence precedes another Ripple Of Love.
