Having been involved with web sites for some years now, I have had the problem of email spiders taking my email address from the web site and passing them on to third part organisations. I find myself in a situation where upon any given day I can find between 10 and 20 unsolicited emails, 50% being for loans and the other 50% being porn. The thing that concerns me is I know that many other people have the same problem, including people who have never had their emails placed upon web sites. Now for myself I am not shocked, upset or in any other way distressed by the porn emails that I receive, they are simply a pest, what does distress me is knowing that young children are equally as likely to receive such emails, even when their parents are very careful to avoid such things, and I have to be honest, some of the pictures that are contained on these emails are VERY explicit indeed, and that is something that is pushed down the children's throats. Now I have to say that I really don't know what can be done to stop or control this, but I do know the first step is to gather as many names as we can, then to make a loud noise to the powers that be.
